We are seeking a passionate, mission-driven Math Teacher to join our team and help shape the futures of our students through individualized instruction and meaningful relationships.

    Position Summary:
    The Culinary Arts Teacher is responsible for teaching culinary skills and preparing lunch. This role emphasizes building students’ confidence, work-force skills, and teamwork.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Plan and Prepare Daily Lunch Meals: Develop and execute nutritious, appealing lunch menus for students and staff, ensuring meals meet health and dietary guidelines

    Menu Development and Nutrition Planning: Create weekly menus that are balanced, cost-effective, and aligned with student dietary needs and preferences.

    Grocery Shopping and Inventory Management: Shop for fresh ingredients regularly, manage kitchen inventory, and ensure efficient use of food supplies within budget

    Hands-On Instruction for At-Risk Students: Engage at-risk youth in culinary training by involving them in meal preparation, kitchen safety, and teamwork activities.

    Supportive Learning Environment: Foster a positive and structured kitchen setting that promotes responsibility, skill-building, and confidence among students.

    Food Safety and Sanitation Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe kitchen space, following all local health regulations and food handling standards.

    Mentorship and Life Skills Development: Serve as a role model and mentor, using culinary arts as a vehicle to teach life skills, work ethic, and personal accountability.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field preferred

    • Previous experience working with youth preferred.

    • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for individualized, student-centered teaching.

    • Commitment to integrating Christian faith into teaching and mentoring.

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
